If you need global transparency of whole TC window, just use DM2

3. Grid lines
As the author stated here, TC7 will support alternating colors in the file panel. AFAIK Gridlines are not panned though, but IMHO the alternating colors suffice and also look quite neat.

Support ++ for Grid lines and Tabs in bottom
Gridlines could be useful, though alternate colors can solve the difficulty to identify lines, but, what's the difference between tabs at the top and tabs at the bottom? For me, it is the same.

The difference is large. For me:
since I have an often used double buttonbar, and since I almost always have two rows (per panel) of tabs, and since I don't use the key bar, I would prefer tabs to appear at the bottom, so the middle of the screen will be occupied by filelists, not its lower part. It's just would be comfortable.

It'll be great to have user assigned color tabs in top/bottom as in Opera or Firefox, integrated in Tc and without having to use/buy windowsblinds or similar.

TC should come by default with the chance to define a different color for fixed tabs, instead of the symbol "*". That way, if a tab is fixed, it can be quickly identified among other tabs by its own color.

Why stop there? I want coloured tabs on the sides and in the middle too (if that's not too much trouble).

Folder-tabs color ?

Post by *Vansumsen »

 Ghisler

In order to spot the folder-tabs faster, many users among my friends (¹) wonder to miss the ability to choose a BG-colour for each tab, i.e. in their local-menu. At least, a font-colour could do the trick…

- Should it be feasible (²) ? TIA to consider that proposal.

Friendly

Paul

It could be nice to have an alternative view for panels.
Now there are: Brief, full, Comments and Thumbnail view.
There should be somethink like "Windows Explorer" view.
I am thinking about possibility to use system *file manager* because I've seen a lot of tools which are using system windows for displaying theirs content.

E.g. 1.
GmailDrive utility. It could be easier to use it via explorer instead of playing with registry.

E.g. 2.
In "my" company, we are using Livelink IMS. Every employee install tool which gives You possibility to browse through central server using modified explorer window. I know that some file managers have no problems with that. TC does. Using Windows explorer could help with that issue.
