Delete entries in combos ?

Post by *Clo »

:) Hello !

Help wrote (What's new…)
Use Shift+Del to remove unwanted entries from various comboboxes: Command line, search function, multi-rename-tool etc.
• I did, but nothing happens, i.e. in the command-line, the string is removed on the visible field, but it remains in the list.
- Same with the Search…
- Same after I restarted TC.
:? Did I miss something ?

Very nice feature and works fine here, sorry... ;)
Restart isn't needed, Shift-Del just deletes the entry directly from the popup list.

Hi Clo,
you have to 'Shift-Del' on an entry in the drop-down list,
not on an item in "the visible field". (sorry if i misunderstood you)

HTH?

(the same function btw in firefox)

:) Hello !

• Well, thanks, it works such as, but quite ticklish to keep that damn list open…
- Moreover, I dont see why it couln't work when displayed in the fields (more “comfortable”)

Imagine you want to press Shift+End and then hit Shift+Del by accident: Content gone, history gone too.

Also the complete history would have to be searched for an exact match each time you press Shift+Del.

:) Hi Jeff !

• I never use the move-cursor keys in the command-line, my use of it is very limited…

- Ages ago, I'd requested means to remove items directly, without the need to edit the INI "TC closed" and resort the items by hand…
- I thought to get something handier… So, I ought admit that this feature “as is” desappoints me. :|

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
