Remapping left/right keys => trees unusable

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Remapping left/right keys => trees unusable

Post by *Led »

Remap your Left and Right cursor keys, for example
LEFT=cm_GoToParent
RIGHT=cm_GoToDir
Now we can't go to subdirs in separate trees (Ctrl+Shift+F8).
The same is for Tree View (Ctrl+F8).
Also we cannot move cursor in Quick Search window.

Please don't forget old problem with command line:

BTW, many people use this remapping and found it very convenient!

Sorry, keyboard shortcuts are program-wide, not limited to specific windows...

The same problem was solved in the past:
31.12.04 Added: ignore redefinition of LEFT+RIGHT (cursor keys without any shift keys) in thumbnails view

Now this is tree instead of thumbnails.

PS Why Left/Right keys put cursor into command line in full view? They can do more useful things, for example cm_GoToParent/cm_GoToDir.
