The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Click right-button on a icon of button bar and choose Change menu. In the Change single button dialog, changed the Icon File. Then the TC is dead.

Close and restart TC and follow my steps mentioned above.
I found the first time, it takes long time to display the icon-list, but fast when I do it again.

Nothing special happens. It works, how it should work.

Where is the icon file stored? (internal/external library) Does this 'dying' occur with all libraries or with just a specific one?

Maybe a problem with a virus scanner? The "first time slow, then fast" is an indication of a scanner.

I use Kaspersky Internet Suite (KIS) v6 in my system. Even I disabled it, the problem is there too.

FYI: In the Open File Dialog, if I changed the current directory to another, then opened a file to choose the icon, the TC will be dead for a long time (30 secends). But if I didn't change the current directory, the TC works fine.
