Is there anyway to unfodler a folder in the tree by a single click?
I mean, click on the folder, the cross node "+" is too small anyhow.

Explorer performs better on this point, I think.

Well I don't see any diffrence compared to Explorer here.
The size of the + icon depends on the icon size setting for the file list.

Drag&drop on the + in Explorer => works.
Drag&drop on the + in TC = doesn't work.

to Lefteous:

Surely a single click will unfolder the current folder in the pannel, but in the TREE it remains folded until another double click. Not so convenient, isn't it?

What you report sounds confusing. Do you want to expand or collaps the tree? In the first what you asked how to unfold the tree. Now you report it remains unfolded until a second click is performed.

Drag&drop on the + in TC = doesn't work.
Indeed, you have to press SPACE to unfold the target branch.
EDIT
Erm, at least in the old tree. The separate tree doesn't even unfold on SPACE. Well, there are indeed quite some limits in the current sepTree implementation...
/EDIT

I assume this is intentional because otherwise the tree would unfold even if you don't want it:

In Explorer you have to move the D&D file over the folder icon/name itself to target/expand it, while in TC the whole line width of the tree is 'focusable'.

With this 'instant'-expanding, every expandable branch would be expanded on mouseover, from the moment you move the D&D file over the tree panel. I think that would be confusing.

But well, I'm not that excessively using the trees, so just an observation...

I think zhv wants the folder's icon/name to behave exactly like the '+' on single click (expand/collapse branch).

to Lefteous:
Sorry for my mistake, "it remains unfolded " should be "it remains folded ", it was written by mistake, already corrected in the post.

to StickyNomad:
Yes, that's it, that's what I meant.

Thanks for all replies above!

Click on the'+' is somehow tricky, double click is boring,
so why not perform as Explorer does?

And a related bug is found:
Sometimes double click on a folder in the Tree(Separate Tree) doesn't expand it, seemingly this error occurs at some path depth of a folder, but I'm not sure.

Try to do this in the separate tree, expand a folder with deep depth by depth, that is, from folder1\ to folder1\subfolder1\ then folder1\subfolder1\sub-subfolder1\...., only by double click, that perhaps would reproduce the error.

I assume this is intentional because otherwise the tree would unfold even if you don't want it:
Like I have said in an early tree related thread in the beta forum, I would also not implement drag&drop handling in the separate tree like Explorer does.
But, using Space for folding/unfolding indeed sounds like a very interesting idea as it would prevent accidental drops. This way I would fully support that implementation, also for drag&dropping tree items in the tree this could be used. Well, I hope that ghisler will agree (one day). :)
