FTP - Change directory

Post by *deus-ex »

When i'm connected to a computer via FTP i use to change directory by moving the cursor to the '..' entry, press F2, type in the directory and press Enter. While in previous versions the directory was changed immediately after the Enter-key press, now nothing happens until i press the ESC-key after.

On my local harddrive the procedure works as expected (no ESC-key press required).

What command have you assigned to F2? F2 re-reads the directory by default!

I guess it is assigned to cm_RenameOnly - and in that case I can confirm your observation.

Your assumption is correct. F2 is set to cm_RenameOnly, i already had forgotten about that. But that most probably doesn't belong to the odd behaviour.

No, if I use Shift+F6 I get the same behaviour.

You may need to press ENTER twice when auto-complete is active.

It is the same behaviour with or without autocomplete.

I connect to a FTP server, put the file cursor at [..], press Shift+F6, type in the name of a directory and press Enter.

Now I get a warning sound in the speakers. Pressing Enter again just gives the same auditive warning.

Now, pressing any key, or clicking the mouse anywhere in the left OR right panel makes TC chage to the entered directory.
