Lister crash

Post by *Valentino »

I opened a file in Lister, scrolled down. Then file was updated by external program. I pressed F2 to refresh Lister and got the following error:
---------------------------
Total Commander
---------------------------
Access violation at address 7C90F276. Read of address 00C408A8.
Please report this error to the Author,
with a description of what you were doing when this error occured!
Continue execution?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------
I suspect the file was shortened so Lister's current position inside this file started to point past the end of file. My hard disk started to swap realy hard. I opened Task Manager and saw that virtual memory reserved (or commited?) by TC is about of 1.9 GB.

BTW, typo: "occured" -> "occurred".

No matter what plugins I use because they are not activated automatically (I have turned off "Multimedia" option), I press 4 in Lister to invoke plugins. But at that time I didn't invoke plugins. File was quite short, around 50K. BTW, it's hard to reproduce (I couldn't either), so it's necessary to look at the Lister's code at that address and try to guess how could that be.

It seems to be related to the new text cursor. I will set it to the last character of the re-read file if it's before the current location.
