Bad folder in function Search files, in double tree view

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Bad folder in function Search files, in double tree view

Post by *bobo8 »

When you select a folder and start search files function, then it is OK. But when you THEN select a folder in second window (in double tree view) and start search files function, there is the former folder.

Sorry, I don't quite understand - what do you mean with a "former folder"?

the folder of previous search.

Try select a folder on left tree, then search some files. Then select a folder on right tree, then start search files - it will search in the foder from left tree.

I cannot confirm this. Maybe the problem is the following:
Just selecting a folder with single click in the tree view does not mean that it becomes the selected folder. Press enter to really select the folder for searching.

PS. Hmm, right clicking on a folder in the tree view and selecting Search is confusing indeed. It searches in the active panel, not in the folder right- clicked on...
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Indeed search always starts at the directory in the currently active FILE panel.
