A network problem(not sure if it is TC related)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

A network problem(not sure if it is TC related)

Post by *bobya »

When I browse my local network and I write directly the ip of the computer in the address bar "\\192.168.0.5\" it opens just fine, but when this computer is from a network I am not a member of, and I have the separate tree activated the main window still opens the computer, but the tree is not able to browse the network and it gives me an error "network path not found" in a couple of seconds. This is standart windows error but it is kind a annoying, so I was wondering could this be fixed somehow

It depends on whether the error comes from Windows or from Total Commander itself. In the latter case I can probably suppress it.

What happens when you try the same in Explorer with separate tree pane?

well I think it's from windows, but it's annoying because windows explorer checks only once and then tells you "network path not found" and doesn't repeat the search. While TC checks constantly and after every check the error pops up.
