Locked tab changed with option "dont save dirs on exit&

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Locked tab changed with option "dont save dirs on exit&

Post by *DoD »

Hi,

the new option "refresh - dont save dirs on exit" is very useful for networkdrives. But when I have a locked tab which is set in this option and it is active on exit, with the next start its path is changed to c:\

Example:
dont save drives: \\
locked tab: \\192.168.1.1\c$

If the locked tab is NOT active when closing totalcmd, the locked tab is still pointing to \\192.168.1.1\c$ on next start of totalcmd.

If the locked tab is active when closing totalcmd, the locked tab is pointing to C:\ on next start of totalcmd, totalcmd should change the tab or something, but dont change the path of the locked tab.

Bye,

I'm sorry but this cannot be avoided. When TC starts up, it sees only the two active panels, no other tabs. It cannot open an active panel with a drive which isn't accessible.

But this makes the option "dont save dirs on exit" almost useless when this even resets locked tabs. How about changing the active tab when totalcmd quits to any other tab (maybe a new one) which is not in the "dont save dirs on exit"-option?
