TC jumps to next thumbnail line

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC jumps to next thumbnail line

Post by *petermad »

Try the following:

1. Open TC in non-maximized mode.
2. Open a folder with several pictures and enable Thumbnail view.
3. Resize TC's window so that the file panel is LOWER than a thumbnail.
4. Move the cursor a bit down an press Delete - notice that the next row of thumbnail is now being shown.
6. Cancel the deletion.
7. Resize the height of the TC window slowly, and notice how TC suddenly shows the previous row of thumbnails again, once the panel is high enough to show a full thumbnail (including the file name under it).

Do step 3 again:
8. Select a thumbnail by Right clicking it (NC-mode) - notice how the mouse pointer jumps up (out of the file panel) the same amount as the height of the thumbnails.

Normally any of this would not happen, but with very large thumbnails it can be a problem - see http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=114603#114603

Unfortunately the Windows listbox isn't meant to be used with list items larger than the list itself. It can lead to all kinds of strange cursor movements. I don't think that I can do anything about this behaviour...

OK - just move it to the "TC7 Behaviour which will not be changed" section :-)
