TC's suicide

Post by *DrShark »

Hi!
I've already reported it to Christian by email, but bug happens very randomly, and he cannot reproduce it.
Sometimes when I execute some program using enter or dblclick, TC doing "suicide" without any error messages. Sometimes this bug also occurs when I a) open documents; b) start lister with plugins; c) minimize TC to tray.
Windows XP SP2, TC 7.02a, there are no viruses on pc - checked by 3 antiviruses. Also I tried to disable all "keyloggers" - not helps.

You should
a) activate error reporting in Windows
b) look at the event log (Application and/or System)

Sorry, I cannot check it now. Last week - virus attack and a lot of problems with registry. Today - big problems with HDD. Sh*t.
I'll post info from my event log when (if) I'll repair the system drive. I hope there are not physical problems with it.

Event logs don't contain any info about TC's crashes.
Maybe because of crashes are 'silent', without error messages. If I'll find a way how to reproduce the problem, I'll write here.

I've discovered it. The problem in my some Lister plugin, now I'm trying to find it...
In most cases silent crashes caused by plugins or shell extensions. TC 7.03 improved stability for shell extensions. So can it can be moved to fixed bugs.
