[Fixed] Wrong Lister's title (minor 7.03 bug)

Post by *DrShark »

To reproduce:
a) open any ANSI file with cyrillic text in Text mode and begin to select some text;
b) open ANSI cp-1251 html file with cyrillic text and just move mouse cursor over it (if opened in HTML mode, key 5) or select text (if opened in Text mode, key 1).
Result: Lister's title will show some coordinates like 112,111,7,9.
Text and html sample files here (27 kb).

I can not verify that, but I am running my Windows under Danish locale.

Anyway - the provided navgator.htm is not really a cp-1251 xhtml file - it lacks the tag:

Code: Select all

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251" />
in the header.

There are also 49 other xhtml errors on the page according to http://validator.w3.org/ so maybe that's a reason (I don't think so though).

I slightly corrected a way to reproduce a bug for html files.
It doesn't matter: valid (x)html in file or not...
I checked alot of cyrillic cp1251 txt and html files so I'm sure bug is present here.
Maybe only cyrillic files on russian Windows can cause the bug.

It's a known problem, which occurs only with Cyrillic character set in lister. Selecting Cyrillic text worked incorrectly with the normal Windows functions, so I had to write a complex workaround. The debug message in the window title was "forgotten" there by mistake. It shouldn't cause any harm, but will of course be removed in the next version.
