HTC Touch Pro

Post by *Peter_Touch_Pro »

Is there a version of TC that works on the HTC Touch Pro?
The processor is a Qualcomm MSM7201A, which uses the ARMv6 instruction set. The OS is Windows 6.1.

However, now my problem:
I selected the Pocket PC version of TC, but it does not install. Neither do the other versions.

Did I do someting wrong, or should I just wait for an update of TC?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Did you try to install the CAB file? The EXE only runs on Windows with ActiveSync or Vista's new mobile device manager.

Hi,

I use TC 2.51 with a Touch Pro. The installation as well as all functions are working perfect. You should have no problems with the CAB file and the installation either in memory or on storage card.

I knew I had done something wrong. Which version did you installed?
Then I try the CAB version like Ghisler suggested.
It will work someday

YES!
It works with the CAB version (tcmdpocketarm.cab).
Thanks Ghisler and Iceman!

Landscape problem

Post by *Vladimyr0 »

Hmmm, I have a landscape problem with the latest TC on Touch Pro.
The path fields (at the top of the window) are empty, when dropped down it shows something corrupted
In the portrait mode it works flawless.

Hi Vladimyr0,

this is a problem of windows mobile. You're using "Clear Type" fonts. Even in the selection menu (Settings - System - Screen) the tabs are not labled in landscape with activated Clear Type. If you disable Clear Type fonts, the tabs are labled and the path field in TC are shown the normal path your in.

Yes, you're right. I've found the same behaviour even in Microsoft Pocket Word.

But using ClearType things look much better, especially on Touch Pro. On other devices ClearType in lanscape mode sometimes looks ugly.

May be there is a way to draw path fields by a custom component, like the file list? It is looking good in landscape mode even if ClearType is on.

An additional benefit will be ability to choose the font of path fields.
When the font of file list is set to 4...5 points, the difference between these fields and the file list seems too big :)

This behaviour can be avoid: If you have the prog "Diamond Tweak" (Freeware): Go to point 17.7 (Kalender) and acitvate "clear type bei gedrehtem Bildschirm" und TC runs even in landscape mode...
