>>>Here is image how i mean this.<<<
Some operations could take a long time to be done and in this time you cannot do something else. Add them to job-list executed on backround or just run them on background can save lot of time to do other stuff. The ony solution - run next instance of Total Commander dont seems to be clear and can bring disorder or lose data(list of open tabs in one or more of instances e.t.c. e.t.c.).
- Send tasks to BACKGROUND is quick and lightweight solution suitable for simple tasks with no accurate order needed.
- Send tasks to JOBLIST is best for doing complex task contains more its subtasks which need to be executed in accurate order.
(For example: Want to do MD5sum of all files in huge directory, then pack whole directory and move them to slow device(USB1.0/netdrive)...)
Especially useful this operations:
- checksum operations
- packing/unpacking files
- working with archives like with fs
- deleting files
and other
For imagination picture below.
Recommend to implement options in settings like "Default operation do in background"
and "Default operation send to joblist(F2)"(not necessary, just idea to future).
Most edited dialogues in link above do not contains a button Tree, i never used this
and I believe that this is not preferred function in dialogues(no flame).
PLEASE: Even if one or more ideas are already implemented, don't discard another ideas and sorry for my English.

Support for your idea with exception:
only one "Options" button.
TC should give you proper ZIP / Packer / External dialog depending on selected archive format.
Alternative solution:
"More >>" with popup menu (like for overwriting).
PS. Where do you get all your ideas? Are they laying freely under Eiffel's Tower or what? _________________ "When we created the poke, we thought it would be cool to have a feature without any specific purpose." Facebook...

Hello !
| Quote: | | only one "Options" button. |
• That's questionable, I thought to separate options for the external and built-in packers, that's sensible, IMHO…
- Anyway, the discussion remains open, of course.

More buttons less readability (problems with languages and DPI settings).
I think that these options are not needed so often then "More" button could be better solution.

Different dialog / different interface, but same functionality:
| Code: | local <-> FTP
--------------------------------------
<F5><F2> <-> <F5>{<Alt+D>}<Enter>
<F5><F2> <-> <F5>{<Alt+U>}<Enter>
<Del> <Enter> <-> <Del>{<Space>}<Enter>
|
Or did I miss something?
