Any idea about a new update ?VadiMGP wrote:lucjo
... But I can add button near "Only in" field to insert current directory in this field. So if current directory doesn't match to user expectation he can change it manually.

To VadiMGP,
Thank you for the new version.
Unfortunately, by me the new functions doesn't work. By pressiong Alt-D, I have always the same directory loaded in the "only in" field :
c:\Program Files\totalcmd\Plugins\WFX\FSE
even if TC is in other directories.
I have uninstalled the old version, re-install the new, and I the same problem remains.
What is exactly the function from "autoloading previously saved results from default directory"? Where is the "default directory" set ?
Thanks
lucjo

I suppose you start search from toolbar via FSEStart program. In this case you have to ensure that button DOESN'T contains anything in "Start Path" field. If you create this button by dragging program onto toolbar TC fills this field automatically with directory where program located. In you case it seems to be:
"c:\Program Files\totalcmd\Plugins\WFX\FSE"
If you save you search results in this directory, them will be loaded automatically after TC restart.

I have problems with Regular expresions. Today I tried to find files longer than 106 characters (To make sure they can be recorded on a DVD).
Look Files: .{107,}
Look in: File Name, RegExp
Next thing I get is: Locate.exe has encountered a problem an need to close. Bla, bla, bla.
If do it inside locate32 search window, using ":.{107,}", it works like a charm.
Locate32 is Version 3.1 RC3 Build 8.9210

Nice tool, thanks very much for sharing!VadiMGP wrote:Plugin for fast search through Locate32 available.
I didn't implement all planned features (and I don see them implemented in the near future) but I've decided to release plugin anyway. Even in the current state it helps me a lot. May be it will help to somebody else too.

Suggestion: The Readme file mentions an INI file but doesn't explain where it comes from and there isn't a sample in the ZIP. You might add to the Readme file the fact that FSE creates INI-file the first time you run it.
It doesn't appear that there is any way to change the settings from the initial run in a GUI, you either have to edit the INI file or delete it and recreate it. Is that right?
I added a button in my TC using the path to FSEStart.exe and the icon from Locate32.exe, makes it trivial to start the search and I don't need to remember either to add \\\FSE\ or the trailing slash. The disadvantage is that it doesn't start the search where you are, it searches the entire Locate32 database files.dbs

You can edit settings via plugin's Properties dialog. Right click on "FSE" and choose "Properties"It doesn't appear that there is any way to change the settings from the initial run in a GUI, you either have to edit the INI file or delete it and recreate it. Is that right?
You can limit search to the current directory (Alt+D). Please read several post above. This is exactly what we discussed there. The disadvantage is that it doesn't start the search where you are, it searches the entire Locate32 database files.dbs

Starting from the next version FSE will support search not through Locate32 only but through Everything engine also.
So please rename this topic to "FSE-Fast Search Engine plugin".
