Access violation pop-up error at address 00407150

Post by *LeoD »

Hi.

I got this:

"Access violation at address 00407150. Write of address 4354202C."

It happened while unpacking a 67MB TAR archive with many small files on drive C:

Using TotalCMD 7.04a registered, German WinXP pro.

The same has happened a while ago with an earlier version of that archive but I can't say if the same addresses were involved.

Difficult to say what the problem could be. Can I download that file somewhere (e.g. is it some kind of Unix installer or source), or is it private data?

It is private data, but I could mail it to you, it's not _that_ private. (33MB bz2)
The issue seems to be related to the length of the (resulting?) target path.

It would indeed be nice if I could test that. Unfortunately I cannot receive such large files via e-mail. Can you upload it somewhere and send me the download link and (if needed) username+password? I can also create a temporary account for you on ghisler.com. Just contact me by e-mail (support at ghisler dot com). Thanks!
