selecting drive by parallel thread

Post by *SailorMax »

Can you make selecting drive by parallel thread? If selected drive is not accesible, for example bad CD/DVD, Total Commander is "Not Responding" without possible cancel this operation...

Please add:
wincmd.ini
[Configuration]
threadfindfirst=1

I'm considering to make this the default, what do you think?

I don't see any difference with this setting... When trying open CD-drive, where is no disk inside, Total commander _totaly_ is not accessible, while one of panel trying load disk content... And I can't change my choice and change disk, while this operation is not finished...

Same for me. Empty CD drive freezes TC for about 10s.

threadfindfirst=1 is set in the wincmd.ini

Maybe a virus scanner is causing this? Here it takes only one second (XP SP3).
