Opening a file's directory after feeding a search to listbox

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Opening a file's directory after feeding a search to listbox

Post by *StickyNomad »

This little issue is already present in TC versions prior to 7.5 beta:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Activate the left file panel
2. Do a search (Alt+F7) that finds some files
3. Feed the results to listbox
4. Move the cursor to any file and ...

4a. ... press Ctrl+Cursor right to open the file's directory in the target panel
-> the directory is opened and the active file is selected there (expected behaviour)

4b. ... press Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Shift+Up to open the file's directory in a new tab in the source/target panel
-> the directory is opened, but the active file is not selected (bug?)

Sorry, this isn't currently supported. TC can set the focus only on the file while it is shown. Inactive tabs aren't really loaded, they just store the current directory.
