Wrong Overwrite dialogue position.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Wrong Overwrite dialogue position.

Post by *fenix_productions »

Overwrite dialogue position vary for each load if AlwaysCopyInBackground is set.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open your wincmd.ini and set AlwaysCopyInBackground to either 1 or 2.
2. restart TC and copy one file from right to left,
3. try to copy it again to see Overwrite dialogue,
4. it is neither centered nor at the same position as last time.

It should be always centered.

Notes:

Overwrite dialogue position depends of AlwaysCopyInBackground values:
- 0 - always centered;
- 1 - jumps from left to right on each load; ten tries and I could never have same location twice in row;
- 2 - always "glued" to the left side of the screen;

The dialog is centered vertically over the background copy window. Since the position of that window changes each time you open one, the overwrite dialog will change position too.

I am not sure but is position of BTM saved? If not, please center it. Or maybe you could find some workaround?

No, it's not saved - the first is positioned at the top left of the current screen, the next to the right of it, the next again to the right until the full screen width is used. Then TC starts again opening windows at the top left.
