Indeed in 7.50a the flickering was reduced quite a bit, by redrawing just the icons instead of the entire line when clearing the overlays.

Do you perhaps use custom colors by file type? That will cause a refresh of the entire line... _________________ Author of Total Commander

In Custom Columns view mode (Shift+F1) the entire line (and the cursor) seems to be refreshed, too (is that intended?).
No need to use any plugins or other options to check:
from a clean INI just add a Custom view with only name and extension.
On Ctrl+R you can see the file names and the cursor flickering.
Switching back to Long mode (Ctrl+F2) eliminates the flickering again. _________________ Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?
