Hashing in Find Files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Hashing in Find Files

Post by *Borneqa »

For a long time bothers me when I search file by Alt+F7, files on list are not added by order but are hashed, new found items are inserted inside list.

Well, in fact they are all sorted, taking the full path in account.

But isn't it strange that even in a custom column view TC still uses the full path in the "Name" column for sorting although just the name is displayed?

In my case the are not sorted, if the are foun din order
c:\dirA\file1

c:\dirB\file3
File file3 is sometime insert inside list:
c:\dirA\file1
c:\dirB\file3
c:\dirA\file2
