Hi there and many thanks for an excellent plugin.

I have one suggestion.

When getting dir size it sometimes locks the totalcmd whilst counting very large folders. This is very annoying when I mistakenly have a quick-view window open and open a dir from a server far away. Can it be some kind of cancel operation whilst counting?

Hi and welcome!
Doesn't pressing ESC do the job? This works here.

2sgretsch: Welcome to the forum !

Sorry I cannot reproduce it, Works fine for me on Win 7 Ultimate (32 bit).

You may give us some more details:
- Where do you have installed TC ?
- Which exception is thrown ?

2sgretsch:
1. I don't know how stable version 1.3 beta6 is (just using version 1.2)

2. Installing TC at "Program Files" is a bad idea. This folder has a special protection under Vista/Win7. => Try an installation at another folder like "C:/Tools/TotalCommander"

Indeed some PLUGINS will not work when installed somewhere under "Program files". Please re-install the plugin to a different directory where you have write rights. Reason: Some plugins try to store their settings in the plugin directory, which will fail under "Program files".

You don't need to re-install Total Commander itself, it's sufficient to install the plugin somewhere else.

a suggestion is to add Modify rights to Users-group to the add-on folder on Total Commander install.

Hi
I would like to report a bug in the latest 1.3 beta6 of the plugin. It works on some directories, but if I change to another directory sometimes I get the error message below.

---------------------------
totalcmd
---------------------------
ListLoadNext error :
Access violation at address 6CF27F5E. Read of address 6CF27F5E
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

This is observed in TC 8.0 beta8 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows 7

Thanks for the great plugin.

Confirm.
Regular error messages on Win x64 with TC 7.56a and VisualDirSize 1.3 beta6 and 1.2.
But very old version VisualDirSize (FileVersion: 1.1.0.94) don't crash in Win7.
I hope bug will be fixed and will be x64 version of plugin.
