Local harddisk.
Did you try to paste the same file again and again?
Its a way I can almost always reproduce it.

I tried that now, until I had copies of the file named copy (1) ut to copy (100) - they all showed up. I was using WatchDirs=3 as you did. I tried Ctrl+V - wait until file appears, then again Ctrl+V, and also olding down Ctrl and pressing 'v' many times.

There is just one thing I noticed: When you hold down Ctrl and press 'v' many times, and you release Ctrl before all files are copied, TC will show the quick search dialog. The list will then be refreshed only when you close that dialog with ESC.

Perhaps my description was not good.

I copy the file from desktop and paste it in TC.
If its refreshed properly I delete this file and copy the file from desktop again. Paste again. Check again if its refreshed or not.

But I have a feeling that its only my win7 installation behaving like this.

Do you get this also with WatchDirs=0?

Did you read my previous message? We posted almost at the same time.

Yes I get the same behavior with WatchDirs=0.
It is almost worse there. (Seems to be not refreshed more often) But I can be wrong on this.

BTW: I never get a copy dialog.

I also get it with an empty ini.
Do you have any idea what to test?

With clean INI panel isn't updated when pasting file. But with WatchDirs=3 its updates (maybe after delay in 1-2 seconds but it does).

I'm using Windows 7 RTM. And, as I said, WatchDirs=3 works fine for me.

I have made many tests on Windows 7 RTM now, both with WatchDirs=0 and WatchDirs=3. TC always refreshed the file list after Ctrl+V, the new files always showed up. I really don't know what I do differently. :(

The same here. Not immediately, but TC refreshes the panel.

IMHO notable. It is not normal. It must be there, at least for > 100 MB files. Do you use any "Windows tweakers" on you system? My one is mor like a virgin.

I noticed something new.

1) Both panels in TC show the same folder
2) I copy some file from desktop to TC via ctrl+c/v but the file doesnt show up like described in this thread.
3) Then I manually refresh by pressing Ctrl+r.

-> Only the current panel is refreshed. The other panel is not refreshed, although the same folder is shown.

2Postkutscher:
140 MB doesnt show it. But it shows for 500MB where the refresh does work ok.

I use no windows tweaker either. Also I tried to remove all running processes like FreePDF Printer, Mouse driver, Sound driver, my AHK scripts. The bug still "works". Also tried to disable Aero because of the other win7 bug. (Thumbnail view cursor bug - could have been related...)

The only thing is that I customized many things manually by using the control panel.

2Christian:
Thank you for all your tests. Would it help if I do a video of this?
Thanks for all your time so far.

I just successfully reproduced it in my virtual Windows 7 machine on XP. (state immediately after install of win7 and tc - watchdirs=0/3 tested both)

Here is a video I made of the reproduce progress. (Here I use mouse only)
In the second video I use keyboard shortcuts only.
