No update in rename after undo

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

No update in rename after undo

Post by *brahman »

If I do a rename operation, then a reload, then an undo, the list is not refreshed to show the undone names.

Cannot confirm, I just tried it.
1. Can you try with a fresh wincmd.ini? Just start TC with parameter /i=c:\totalcmd\test.ini
2. If you can still reproduce it, can you give me exact step by step instructions?

Hi Ghisler,

be happy to do so.

Reproduced with virgin TC:

1. select several files
2. files>multi rename tool
3. do some rename, f.e. add .del to Extension box
4. Start (file display fields are now clear)
5. F5
6. Undo
7. OK

==> Old Name is still the file name before undo operation.

Hi Ghisler,

"Old Name" column in the rename file list window top left ... where you see the actual names of the files to be renamed.

The old name is not updated and does not reflect the real (namely rename undone) name of the file on disk after the reload and undo.

... Oh wow ... a full and complete rainbow in all its glory just a few meters away from my window ... marvellous! ... :)

I see - indeed this doesn't effect the list in the multi-rename tool, because you can just re-open the list with whatever files you want and click on "Undo".
