TC 7.55b3: second progress bar doesn't change

Post by *Miguk »

Copying 155 files I don't see any changes in 2nd progress bar.

Add: I deleted my wincmd.ini from the previous version and both progress bars were back.

Add: I changed some TC settings and then the 2nd progress bar was frozen again.

Please open 'Configuration, Operation' and check option 'before copying/deleting' under 'Calculate space occupied by subdirectories'. If option is not checked, TC will not count size of files, so will not know overall size to show second progress bar.

Indeed, I switched this option off :-) I've read that with this checking off files аре deleted faster.

TC 7.50a with this option turned off shows no 2nd progress bar at all :-)

That's because TC shows the progress dialog before the user can stop the counting now, so it doesn't know in advance whether to show progress bars or not.

so it doesn't know in advance whether to show progress bars or not.
So TC doesn't know in advance whether the option 'Calculate space occupied by subdirectories - before copying/deleting' is enabled or not - strange!?

Currently the option is checked only later when the sum is calculated. I will check whether I can change that.

I can confirm that the second progress bar is not shown anymore in TC 7.55 rc2, if the option "Calculate space occupied by subdirectories" - "before copying/deleting" is disabled.
