Error on the download file from Amazon Cloudfront

Post by *Thorz »

The file tcmd755.exe downloaded from Amazon Cloudfront is missing the EXE extension. The other links are ok. I used IE8 to download it.

Yep. Confirmed!
BTW: downloading from Amazon Cloudfront using Firefox 3.6.3 works okay.
So maybe you should send a problem report to support @ microsoft.com?

Same here - works with .exe extension in Firefox, SeaMonkey, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Opera, but not in Internet Explorer 8 - but MS never cared much for following standards ;-)

Ah, the Internet Explorer bug. I completely forgot about that, sorry! It's fixed now. The following headers need to be set manually to make it work with IE:
Content-Disposition
attachment; filename="tcmd755.exe"

Content-Type
application/x-msdownload
