[64] Crash on context menu for a folder on a network drive

Post by *telmich »

If i do a right click on a folder of a network drive I get a box with the title "Error" and the program crashes. This only occurs with the 64bit version of TotalCommander 8.0ß1

EDIT: this not only occurs on samba shares as stated in the beginning, but also on network folders in general

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it. Another user reported the same. Could you check with ShellExView what context menu extensions are installed which are NOT from Microsoft?

I get this too. I'll check the extensions.

EDIT: done. You can check the list here:

Just tested with all non-Microsoft extensions disabled, but Error still occurs and looks exactly the same. Total Commander still crashes on the error for me.

Just tested with the network path like //netstorage/
Here no error message or system message is displayed, but instead the TotalCommander window and process just disappears.

Nice to hear that! It was probably caused by the faulty exception handling.

Can you confirm it too, or do you still get the crash with beta 2?

I can confirm this, too. No problems any longer with beta 2.
