???
Cannot reproduce. I tried with both left mouse button selection mode and right mouse button selection mode (where TC only selects, but not unselects with Ctrl), and both in full view and brief view.

Can you give me more details of what you're doing, and your settings, please?

tc 8ß2x64 / left mouse button selection mode

1) select a file
2) push down ctrl
3) select another file
4) release ctrl
> first file is not selected anymore.

Sigh - I've just posted a new thread for this one too, I didn't know this thread was here. Confirmed as Samuel has described.

Confirmed for TCx64 Beta2 in both full and brief modes. If no files selected and I hold Ctrl and click onto some file, only that file becomes selected (previously focused should become selected too).

Confirmed with 64bit.

Just to clarify for those who cannot confirm:

- put the cursor focus on a file, but do NOT highlight/select it
- hold down CTRL key
- select another file

On 32bit - both files become selected/highlighted

On 64bit - just the second file is selected/highlighted

The logic with using the CTRL key is to add addional selections to the existent. Why should the not selected first entry be automatically selected ?
I prefer the curent behaviour.
To include the first one is done with the shift key for selecting ranges.

Because it has always been the standard in TC.

When you perform a file operation or buttonbar command and you didn't selected a file the file under the cursor is chosen instead. So its "almost" selected.

Edited several times.

It's very strange, sometimes it seems to work and sometimes not. I will check it.
