[8.0ß1-x64] dual screen position of confirm overwrite dialog

Post by *HolgerK »

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
TC 8.0ß1
Dual screen: secondary screen is left, primary screen is right
(in this combination the secondary screen has negative horizontal screen coordinates!)

1. Place TC(x64) on the secondary screen
2. copy a file from left to the other panel which already exists in the destination path
3. "Progress" dialog is centered over TC main window (on the secondary screen)
4. "Confirm overwrite" dialog is placed on the primary screen

x86 Version behavior is ok.

I will check it, thanks! Currently I don't have a multi-monitor setup.

21.09.11 Fixed: Dual screen, TC on secondary screen -> the overwrite confirmation dialog was shown on the primary screen (64)
Not confirmed!

After some further investigation i found another reason for this bug.
The dialog is always placed on the startup Display("Save Postion") of TC!

This way i can even reproduce the error the other way around:

1. Place TC on the secondary Screen
2. "Save Position"
3. Restart
4. Place TC on the primary screen
5. Copy a file
6. Overwrite dialog pops up on the secondary screen.

Point 3 is important. It's always the screen where TC starts up.

Holger

Hmm, why would you want to do that?

What? Moving TC to the other display?...
It's a bigger one. Depending on the task a 16:10 display is better than a 4:3
