the space bar problem was permanent after the upgrade from 7.56a to 7.57, but only on one of my machines.
the problem was solved with cm_UnloadPlugins. again thanks to umbra.
i could not reproduce the problem after that.

i upgraded to 7.57a rc1 without problems.

I can confirm that the 7.57a RC indeed DID fix it. It did not work on my 7.57 so I installed 7.56 over 7.57.
The 7.56 did not have that mistake. Now I installed 7.57a RC over it and the error also does not exist anymore..
Good work.. And I havent used cm_UnloadPlugins nor did I set the wiwncmd.ini
So whatever it was was updated it works fine now.
Interestingly enough I installed 7.57 over the 7.57a and that one works fine now also...
Thanks for looking into it..

It seems that I found a repeatable way to have it fail in 7.57 (no RC).

Select a couple of dirs and copy them from right to left (of vice versa) using F5 and then F2
Whilst it is copying then go in the left window to another dir and count one of the dirs (or all). They do color red but they dont get counted.

This seems a repeatable bug here..

I'll test 7.57 RC2 for this..

The trigger is definitely the copying via background transfer manager with F5 - F2, but it's difficult to reproduce.

I could reproduce it this way:
1. Start the background transfer manager via menu
2. Click on "Pause"
3. Go to a dir with many many files, select them all with Ctrl+A
4. In the other panel, go to a dir with a few folders taking about 5-10 seconds to count
5. Start counting them with Alt+Shift+Enter
6. Switch to the other panel and press F5 - F2 shortly before the counting ends

After a few tries, Alt+Shift+Enter stops working. This should be fixed now in RC2.
