unpack (.rar file) bug

Post by *fcasoli »

Hi,
I have a zipped folder containing a lot of pictures,
the total dimension is 36 MB.
If I open the file, until to visualize the complete list of images, I select all anc I tap the button to extract and copy, I select a fonder and the process starts,
after two pictures, TC exit.
The same if I repeat the process or if I select some pitures only...

thanks

I have just tested it with my pictures and videos - a total of 350 MB zipped - no problem so far. Some questions:
1. Are you able to unpack that archive on a PC?
2. Did you get a notification about a crash in TC? If yes, please make sure you have internet, and then send the report

Hi,
the file is a rar compressed folder.
I can unpack locally in my PC, I compressed it using PC.
I add I can unpack on my device using a common application to do that.
No notification when the application exits.

Thanks

Second test, a new .rar created with my PC,
the same bug when I try to extract, TC stops and the device shows the home.

I have a customized ROM based on ICS 4.0.4.

Can someone with Android 4.0.4 verify?

This seems to be a problem with Android 4.x indeed. I tried it in the debugger with the emulator, and got error "attempt to use stale local reference". A quick Google search revealed this link:

Now I just need to find out what's wrong in my code...

ICS 4.0.3, confirm TC crash while extracting a file from rar-archive with password.
The log file is here:

non-encrypted file with Russian-encoded file names.
it unpacks 256 kB of any file, then TC silently disappears.
