+[8.50b1] RAR-Archive with encrypted filenames gets locked

Post by *M0rpheuss »

Hello,

steps to reproduce:
- Open a archive with encrypted filenames.
- Leave the archive
- Try to delete the archive

Deletion of the archive will fail because TC has the file still in access.

Best regards

NOT confirmed. However, I updated the unrar.dll to the latest version in the meantime:
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/UnRARDLL.exe

Maybe it's a dll bug?

Well, can't confirm either on my home machine.
I'll try again tomorrow on my work machine and let you know.

Thanks anyway!

Hi,

I tried to unpack passworded rar archive consisting of three parts. I was asked for the input of a password. I put it in. But it was too late that I realised that the last third part was missing. As a result TotCom hanged and I was forced to kill it in the Task Manager.

Pretty much the same - excluding that I was unable to close the TotCom, I was forced to kill it in Task Manager.

OK, tested again and I'm also unable to reproduce.
May an unfortunate series of events...
