CTRL+RIGHT can not open exe in the right side column.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Post by *jxwy »

Hi friend,
The exe file is packed by winrar, its in the left side column, I select it and then PUSH "CTRL+RIGHT" it will be opened in the right side if I use totalcmd 8.01, but it not works in totalcmd 8.51r2.

I do not know how to fix it.

Please give me some help, Thanks!

This was removed when adding the option CtrlArrowOpenArchive.

Thanks for reply!
I find there is no CtrlArrowOpenArchive option in wincmd.ini.
But when I add "CtrlArrowOpenArchive=3", it is ok now.

The default (when it's not set in the ini) is 5, sum of:
1: if ENTER would open the archive as a folder
4: (added) put cursor on file if not opened.

Since ENTER would run the program and not open the archive, EXE files will not be opened on Ctrl+Arrow by default now.
