My problem is, that this seems to be broken. If I enter a password, there is no query even on an other system when I decompress the file again. Also if I select to encrypt the file names I can open the 7zip file and see the files without any pasword prompt, even if one has been set.
I'm using Total Commander 8.0.1 and also tested with 7.56 with the same result.
I like the plugin, but this renders it almost useless for me. Please advice or fix this.
Works fine here.
Using version 0.8.5.6 x64 under Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Tested with excypted file names and without.
There are always the required prompts for the password before I cam open a file or read the file names.
I guess you didn't set the encrypt option in the TC dialog.
Its not working if you set the password in the Configure dialog without having the TC option set.
Using TotalZip 0.8.5.6 and 7zip 9.30, I tried using the "-stl" (set archive timestamp to latest file stamp) switch as a Parameter in the configure dialog. TotalZip says it's not a valid switch. At least I think TotalZip was the complainer. Am I doing something wrong, or is that a TotalZip issue?
Is it possible to have 2 configurations, onoe with encryption and one without, and easily switch between them? As opposed to opening up Configura dialog and setting/clearing password.
How do you get the multi-volume archive functionality of this plug-in to work? I only have this plug-in installed. Do I need to also install the official 7-zip program or something?
I've just installed it and run a test to see if I can create a multi-volume archive with the default 10M setting chosen and it is just ignored completely. Just doesn't work. Doesn't do anything?
Is there a way to associate a format that will only be _opened_ by Total7Zip without being provided the ability to pack files to that format (because there are formats which 7zip can only unpack)?
EDIT: Found my answer straight in the Total Commander wiki (cannot post links; haven't been a member for 1 day). I guess every new user should read the wiki first
I have a strange issue with total7zip latest version.
For some reason I cannot configure formats other than 7z via the configuration window. I get error: "Incorrect Function"
Alt+F5 then select 7z then configure. A configuration window pops up.
Then I select gzip and change the compression ratio to Ultra then press ok and I get that error.

I also can't select another format from packer configuration dialog when Total7zip is selected as a packer (it is only registered with 7z extension). I get same 'Invalid function' error message or 7-Zip errors window where it can't open temporary file. My 7-Zip version is 9.20.
