LAN plugin maximal speed?

Post by *OrdosDeviator »

TC 2.62+ LAN plugin 2.09
WiFi router + PC Win7x64 both ports 1Gb
Copy speed from PC -> 1Gb cable port -> router -> Wifi -> Android Phone ->TC+Lan plugin can't be reached more than 9 megabit/s.

Yesterday I tried all router settings to find out how to speed it up.
But today I checked fusion Android phone -> WiFi -> router with speedtest.net application and found out that actual speed is 44.4mbit/s.

So I have nothing else to blame for cutting speed but fusion TC+LAN plugin.

Yes, its very comfortable for transferring small files PC <--> Android Phone, but my appetites grow up and I want to tranfer big files wireless.

Any ideas how I can have wireless speed close to my real hardware limitation whis is ~40mbit/s?

Unfortunately SMB is a very complex protocol, which I'm not handling myself - it's handled by the JCIFS library. The following protocols are much simpler - they send a single request, and the server returns the entire file:
- WebDAV (HTTP or HTTPS)
- FTP
- SFTP with option "SCP" for the file transfers (the standard SFTP method is also slow)
