[TC 9.0 beta] Old UnRAR.dll inside

Post by *MaxX »

Actual final versin of unrar.dll is 5.31.0.
Both 32 and 64 bit unrar.dll from TC installer are old 5.10 beta 2.
It needs to be updated too.
You can get new dll here: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/UnRARDLL.exe

P.s.
I've noticed just right now, there's 5.40.2 inside that SFX archive (means 5.40 beta 2). So, it's much better then older 5.31.

I haven't had the time yet to test the new unrar.dll. Unfortunately there is no what's new, so it's difficult to find out what was changed, and what may no longer be working...

I use the last final DLLs (taken from here) and didn't have any problems for years.
IMHO, right now (during 9.0 beta-testing) it should be the best time to test new UnRar. Final 5.40 should be released soon, so we have anough time to test it untill TC 9.0 final is ready.

I'm using the new dlls now, but the downside seems to be that they don't work with Windows XP before service pack 3...

So the same problem will probably occur with Windows Server 2003 without SP2...
