I pack to 7Z with encryption for that, it may be unpacked with any modern packer tool.

7Z format has good AES-256 encryption support, and it supports encrypting file names, and it uses good key deriving algorithm, so it is a good encryption tool, especially with good passwords.

AES plugin 0.6.3 [64-bit port] is 2013
Why change it if it works? AES is a standard, it doesn't change every month like 7zip does...

i would like to use a stable plugin
but it's so hard develop an internal encryptor ?

i guess total commander is the number 1° but it could include an unicode file/folder wiper and an encrytor

Such thing as external wiper/encryptor is easilly integrated into TC so there is no need in internal one.

Encrypted File service is normally available on Windows at folder level on advanced properties. ( More info here !)

For Third party Software :
you can get AES Crypt with gui (Right Click) Here.
If you need a bit more you can use Veracrypt... all free of charge.

If you want a wcx TC pluggin PUZZLE is also available and up to date !

EFS allows encrypting is available since Windows XP on file level but it doesn't allow sending encrypted files via Internet...

But I agreee, there are a lot of third party software (archivers, crypted containers, etc), and some plugins with encryption support (as I said, 7Z has good AES-256 support and may be decrypted w/o TC).

Unfortunately you can't pack using specific plugins w/o user interaction.

Correctly written plugins use INI files that TC tells to use (pkpkugin.ini near wincmd.ini), I hope this one is written correctly, but I don't know since I don't use it. :)

And, TC doesn't remove settings from INI files itself, so when you uninstall a plugin, its settings in TC INI files will remain. BTW, plugins may be uninstalled only manually by deregistering them in TC and removing plugin files.
