[Configuration] section issue

Hi All,
An issue after upgrade from 8.52 when I "Change Configuration Files Directly" a new Configuration section created in the middle of the ini file and the first got ignored. I had to copy all section the new section.

But if you use Change Configuration Files Directly
TC doesn't do anything itself, its your editor which writes the new file.
I use Change Configuration Files Directly since years over all versions and never had such problem.

This is a quite old issue. I encountered it several times in the past. But it should no longer happen after TC9 beta 10:

17.08.16 Fixed: Write SetEncoding=äö.do.not.remove to wincmd.ini [Configuration] on load, to prevent notepad from opening/saving the file as UTF-8 when it contains UTF-8 encoded parts (32/64)

Which beta/rc version of TC9 are you using? Did you use "Change Configuration Files Directly" before or after the upgrade?

I updated from from 8.52 to 9 rc1 and didn't notice any changes. Then I decided to remove my icon set setting and commented a line. I set do not display folder brackets, but right after I commented IconLib setting folder brackets appeared. That's how I figured.

I think I figured it, had similar issue with my apps. I used Notepad replacement AkelPad which inserted UTF-8 encoding chars at the beginning of the file. If windows API used to read ini I know for sure that the first section gets invisible.
