[fixed] menu and right-click menu don't work

Post by *rachman »

Original Title: menu and right-click menu don't work after certain condition

How to reproduce
1. show context menu on certain file of folder (via right-click or keyboard)
2. hover to the one with sub-menu (e.g. Open With)
3. press a key (at the time I'm trying to quick open properties via context menu then 'r')
4. after that right-click context menu and menu bar don't work

I'm using TC 64-bit v9 RC4, Windows 8.1 x64

Somehow that key seems to go to quick search. Which quick search options do you use?

Confirmed I can reproduce it every time, but only in the 64bit version, but then also in back in TC8.52a

Here it is how I experience it:
1. Open the context menu for a .txt file
2. Hover the menu item "Open with" - don't even move the cursor out in the submenu.
3. Press the shorcut key for one of the other items in the context menu for example the shortcut key for "Properties".
4. Now the following happens:
a. The context menu freezes and clicking on TC's main window cannot close the context menu. You can only close the the context menu by clicking outside of TC's main window.
b. After that it is no longer possible to open the context menu.
c. Furthermore TC's Main menu does not react either.
d. If you bring any other window in front, then you can no longer access TC's window any normal way, you have to use Task manager.
