:D Hello!
I support this request too... The one way to circumvent the problem actually is to launch the file with a pic-browser which has this function, instead F3.
- Waiting for a (possible?) improvement, you could set an icon in the bar for a pic-browser (IrfanView, XnView, or UniView), and carry directly the file on this icon by Drag & Drop, it's so fast.
Then, you'll have the wanted zoom; for instance, with XnView you can configure a zoom-step as so small as 1% (up and down)!
¤ I tested too using the Windows Magnifier: that works, but isn't handy...
:) Friendly regards,
Claude

Have you tried to view images using TC plugins? Some of them supports zooming. I've desribed some of their features here.

:D Hello!
¤ Following the quoted thread, one plugin doesn't support zoom, and the other is "slow"...

¤ A native zoom in Lister might be better, I suppose (it's a "Holy wish"!).
Friendly,
Claude

I just hope nyam (author of Imagine plugin) will be back on the forum after Christmas and... he will read it and adds zoom option to his plugin :-)

Zoom for text in Lister

Post by *DrShark »

Recently (because of technical issues with hardware keyboard) I mostly use mouse and software on-screen keyboard to work with PC on distance. This requires to zoom the text, and I really miss the possibility to change font size like in web browsers with "Ctrl Num+"/"Ctrl Num-" hotkeys or special zoom bar.
It's possible that because of how lister does text rendering dynamic zoom may cause some glitches/artifacts or so, but maybe this can be added only for some lister view modes or for files limited to some size?

I would also love this feature - maybe also with "Mouse Scroll + +" and "Mouse Scroll + -". I use screens with different resolutions and especially there it would be a great help.

Usually Ctrl+Scroll used. And yes, it would be nice to be able to zoom in/out from default font size in a particular Lister window (or quick view window) and remember this setting until user closes it.

Ah yeah, I also meant Ctrl+Scroll (Or Ctrl + +) - I have no idea why I wrote "Mouse Scroll + +"...
