Find Files: add Pause feature for search

Post by *DrShark »

If many Find Files instances are searching on one location simultaneously (especially if it is a large capacity external drive with many files and slow connection like USB 2 or even 1), search speed slows down dramatically and it's not good for device.

Unfortunately currently Find Files only offers the options to Stop and Cancel the search, but pressing "Start search" again starts from beginning, i.e. TC again searches for files that are in Results list after user pressed Stop.

I suggest to add a "Pause" button between the "Start search/Stop" and "Cancel" and make it active (use black Pause text instead of gray) only when searching process is active (after "Start search" has been pressed). After pressing on a pause button, its word should change to "Continue" (similar to "Start search/Stop" button). Pressing on a "Continue" should start a search from the place where it paused, i.e. TC shouldn't look again for files that are already in Results list.
