Custom Columns error: over 9 chr., first letter is cut off

Post by *jsw »

Let me see if I can explain this clearly:

Editing Custom Columns, when editing the column name, if the name goes over 9 characters, the first letter is somewhat cut off on the left side of the letter.

But only during the edit, not when you are done editing and display the new columns configuration.

I think what you are seeing is only that the text is being pushed to the left in order to show the right end of the text - if you add more characters at the right, the left side is pushed more and more out of view - just press Home to see the first character.

That it happens for you at the 9th character indicates that you are not using the standard Microsoft Sans Serif,8 font for TC's dialogs - is that correct.

Custom Columns Error

Correct, I did increase the size of the text to Microsoft Sans Serif,12.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier.

Instead of doing that, please leave the font size at 8 or 9, and change the DPI (dots per inch) to a higher value in Configuration - Options - Font. This will increase the size of both the dialog boxes and the font.

Note that the file list and main form fonts will NOT be scaled by this DPI setting.
