Button mappings on AndroidTV (and some other questions)

Post by *jryi »

Hello,

I just installed Total Commander on my AndroidTV (Sony KD-55X9005C), and I have noticed some complications.

First of all, I can't access the menu; none of the buttons opens it.

I also cannot navigate there using arrow keys, and I cannot even click on it when using a mouse pointer. (There's an app for that, and a second remote with touchpad.)

This doesn't make the app useless, but I would like to tweak some settings. For example, I would like to launch a video in a player with single click. Right now I get a context menu, where playing on foreground is not even the default choice.

Would it be possible to have some way to access the menu (mouse or arrow keys) even if no button mapping is doable? Or is there a possibility of assigning actions to remote control buttons? If there is anything I can help with (like finding the codes for all the different buttons), I can certainly install a debug version of the software or something like that and screw around with it.

Long pressing ENTER/OK should open the context menu, which allows to access the main menu too.
