Opening SVG files

Post by *mamutido »

I like Total Commander for Android very much, thanks! I have a suggestion.

I offen use SVG files. I open them from Total Commander for Android: Long click on the svg-filename -> Open with -> */* -> (waiting for creating full application list) -> Google Chrome.

Could you please make this process easier? For example add to pop-up menu for SVG-files an option "Open with Default browser" or set default application to open SVG-files from pop-up menu?

Adroid create new button

Post by *Stefan2 »

Hi and welcome.

In the meantime, maybe you want to add an button for quicker access.

I have found an how-to here > viewtopic.php?p=325915

Adopted for your issue:

You can already create a button now:
1. Add button by clicking at the '+' sign (or is there an 'Add' as last button in the button bar?)
2. Set type to "View file with app"
3. Pick the program via '>>' button ...... Chrome
4. Parameters: file:%P%N
5. OK

But I don't know if that works or which option you should use. That are just my guesses.

HTH? :D

You can define an internal association for svg in the Total Commander settings. This way it will open with the assigned app independent from Android associations.
