Main Toolbar Filename search causes TC to crash

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Main Toolbar Filename search causes TC to crash

Post by *1Rosomak »

If I try to create new item or edit existing item in the Main Toolbar of TC (version 9.0a, but was present in 8.56 as well), click on Change >>, Insert Filename, a browse window opens AND THERE whenever I hover my mouse over from right to the LEFT Quick access / This PC section the TC immediately crashes / disappears

First this issue was observed on 8.56a version, that was the reason to upgrade to 9.0a
1. I'm executing TC "as ADMINISTRATOR"
2. there is no debug log left, tried to enable LOG file, but there is only START section, nothing else:
=> Program start (user/PC_Name) UTF-8
3. no other part of the BROWSE window is affected by this bug.
4. File Explorer otherwise works OK, I can hower my mouse over any part of the window. This issue has been found only when using inside Total Commander.

OS is Windows 10.0.16170, version 1703 (build 16170.1000).
I wouldn't be surprised if this has anything to do just with Windows 10 :(

I tried to post images here, but the forums does not allow me to do so after a day after this post, so be patient.

OK, the images are not possible to post here nor post a link to them :(

-----< EDIT #1 >----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have found out that if I run TC x64 (using admin or user privileges) this issue does NOT occur. If I run the x32 version though (using admin or user privileges) the issue DOES occur.
