cm_UnpackFiles: Another ''Extract Here'' thread!

Post by *risk »

Greetings,

It seems that every few years someone asks how to use the internal unpacker, cm_UnpackFiles, to extract the marked archives files to separate subdirectories under the current path. The answer is usually one or several of the following:

1. [Alt]+F9, [Space], [Tab], [Tab], [Tab], [Tab], [Space], [Enter]
2. A button calling WinRAR or other Unpacker
3. A button calling some AHK script using an extrernal Unpacker

Is there no native way to do this within TC now with fewer keystrokes than option #1?

Thanks.

It's just three key combinations to press, but they're language dependent. For English it's Alt+F9, Alt+S (Unpack... separate subdir), Enter. For German the combination is Alt+F9, Alt+J, Enter.

If you don't want to use the default one, you could edit the language file or make your own.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Dalai and Hacker, thank you. The Alt+S helps a lot and I hadn't noticed that option.
