Avoid resolving symlinks when picking folder

When I want to pick a folder in 'auto switch mode' and select a symbolic link I always get the target folder of the link. I expect to see the selected path instead.

Is there a way to to achieve this - except copy and paste the path from somewhere else? Maybe this could be changed if others agree that the folder should be displayed as selected?

TC itself doesn't resolve the link - I guess that the Windows tree dialog does.
