Batch > EXIF date/time to Filename date/time

Post by *AnthonyCian »

Hi

Is it possible, this may require a plugin, to change the date/time stamp of the filename with the EXIF date/time? Since this involves many many files, a batch process would be needed?

To clarify, the EXIF Date/Time is the info source, and the destination is the Filename Date/Time stamp that will be replaced.

Thanks...

Anthony

- Download Exif plugin: http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/exif2.html (Or original from ghisler's site)

- Install it.

- Select files and change attributes.
  • [X] Change plugins attributes:

    Plugin: tc
    Property: writedate
    Value: [=exif.DateDigitized]

    Plugin: tc
    Property: writetime
    Value: [=exif.TimeDigitized]
I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry)

Wonderful! That's what I was looking for.
Thank You!

I think a newer EXIF plugin version is at
http://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm (Exif 1.5)
The URL you gave downloads v1.47b

Unless these are two different ones?

You are welcome :)
The plugin wrote above from totalcmd.net is an "enhancement" version from the original plugin wrote by C. Ghisler. You can view the revision history in the readme.txt .

Got it! I like the EXIF plugin found at the URL you sent better.

To avoid confusion, maybe it would be practical to rename the v1.47b to EXIF Plus?

Thanks!

I have been using @Sombra's toolbar for this kind of tasks for years now. You still can get it from here.
TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max / Inventor / Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, Mover, SetFolderDate, Solid Edge Preview, Zip2Zero and more
