Tasker: How to launch copy command in TC

Post by *harkman »

Hello.

I'm currently searching my socks off, on how to copy without too much effort GPX files from my Garmin GPSmap64s to my smartphone running on Android 7.0.1

Every single app I tried, that is made specifically for this task, fails on Android 6/7 because of the removed direct access to OTG/USB media.
Most app developers I contacted say the effort is too much to implement the access via Storage Access Framework(SAF).

So my last resort is to do this via tasker and Total Commander.

Can you tell me what Intent I have to use to tell TC to copy a whole folder with either skipping already present files or force overwrite present files in target?

My source would look like:
///usbstick/<DV01LU00P01> GARMIN/Garmin
GPX/
and the target like:
/storage/9C33-6BBF/Garmin/

Thanks.

You can't tell TC to copy anything right now. You could tell it to open specific folders, I can give you more details if this would help you.
